French singer Charles Aznavour dies at 94

French singer, songwriter and actor Charles Aznavour, passed away last night at 94. Born in Paris to Armenian immigrants, Aznavour was voted “entertainer of the XXth century” by CNN in 1998.

During his 80+ years career, Aznavour recorded more than 1200 songs, among which several international hits like La Bohème, She, Je m’voyais déjà or Emmenez-moi.

Aznavour sold more than 180 millions records and was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017. In 2009, he was appointed as Armenian ambassador in Switzerland.

Aznavour married three times and was the father of six children.
